SUMMARY:Celebrating Kwibohora 31:Rwanda's Journey Continues
DESCRIPTION:On July 4th 2025\, we gathered to celebrate Kwibohora 31-marking 31 years since the liberation of Rwanda. This annual event commemorates the beginning of Rwanda’s inspiring path toward resilience\, unity and progress. Under the theme “Rwanda’s Journey Continues\,” the event was hosted by the Embassy of Rwanda in Poland and  held at Sheraton Grand Hotel in Warsaw where it brought together the Rwandan community in Poland\, friends of Rwanda\, and guests from neighboring countries together with Polish Government officials among many invited guests in a shared spirit of celebration. \nAmong the many highlights of the event\, BALLET ICYEZA was honored to deliver a series of traditional dances that narrated our cultural depth truly captured the essence of celebration. For many\, it was not only a tribute to Rwanda’s journey but also a reminder of home-and for others\, a chance to feel the warmth of Rwandan culture during this ceremony. Ballet Icyeza served as living proof that Rwanda’s story is not just told through words and history-it is danced\, sung\, and celebrated. \nWritten by: Lise Kamanzi.

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to share that Ballet Icyeza was recently invited to perform at a beautiful wedding celebration in Norway. This special occasion gave us the opportunity to share the richness of Rwandan culture through traditional dance and music. \nOur performance blended the joy of the wedding with the vibrant spirit of Rwandan traditional dance\, creating a unique cultural experience for the couple and their guests. It was a perfect way to celebrate this union with a fusion of our roots and heritage. We loved to see the wedding guests and the couple join us to dance on stage to cheer and celebrate their marriage. \nWe are proud to have been part of such a meaningful event and to continue our mission of bringing Rwandan heritage to international stages.
