Celebrating Kwibohora 31:Rwanda’s Journey Continues

On July 4th 2025, we gathered to celebrate Kwibohora 31-marking 31 years since the liberation of Rwanda. This annual event commemorates the beginning of Rwanda’s inspiring path toward resilience, unity and progress. Under the theme “Rwanda’s Journey Continues,” the event was hosted by the Embassy of Rwanda in Poland and  held at Sheraton Grand Hotel in Warsaw where it brought together the Rwandan community in Poland, friends of Rwanda, and guests from neighboring countries together with Polish Government officials among many invited guests in a shared spirit of celebration.

Among the many highlights of the event, BALLET ICYEZA was honored to deliver a series of traditional dances that narrated our cultural depth truly captured the essence of celebration. For many, it was not only a tribute to Rwanda’s journey but also a reminder of home-and for others, a chance to feel the warmth of Rwandan culture during this ceremony. Ballet Icyeza served as living proof that Rwanda’s story is not just told through words and history-it is danced, sung, and celebrated.
